Los Haitises National Park

Los Haitises National Park is known for the delicate ecological diversity of its mangrove coast, the biggest of the Dominican Republic. The park encompasses 21 thousand hectares of park and rock formations, where you can visit three different cavern systems featuring many Taino pictographs and petroglyphs.

The average temperature is 25ºC with frequent rain in the two largest rain and tropical forests, where one can find parrots, pelicans, owls, as well as selenodonts and hutias, two characteristic rodents of the area.
