Every year, the Samaná Bay becomes the center of attraction for many visitors. From 15 January until 15 March the hunchback whales perform a wondrous spectacle.

These cetaceans, weighing up to 40 tons, come to the warm waters of the Bay for mating and reproducing purposes, presenting the spectators with their impressive off-water jumps and splashing of their huge tails.

Playa Rincón stretches along more than 3 miles of coconut and almond trees. The best way to get to this beautiful and secluded beach is by boat from Las Galeras.
